Rainy Days are Made for Reading
And I have a couple rainy days in my future – at least that’s what the weather man tells me. So while Alek was at dance and Jordan was at a Teen Advisory Board meeting, I scoured the library for interesting books. I found four with varying levels of promise. All about the goth community. I hope to spend some time reading over the next few days and promise to share my thoughts and ideas with you all.
Circumstances in my life indicate I’ll be spending a lot of time in the near future explaining exactly what it does and does not mean to be goth. I want to know what folks are saying 🙂
For now, enjoy the rainbows 🙂 We ran into these on the drive to the grocery after the Egg Hunt on Saturday. Luckily Eric was driving and I could aim the camera out the window!

Beautiful rainbows… don’t you just love spring and the way the world starts giving you so much beauty in your life?? I sure do!

I am definitely interested in what you have to say about what it means to be goth. All I know about it is a clothing style, and I am sure there must be more to the puzzle than that.

Well for me, a lot of what it means to be goth is expressed in the fashion, although being goth is not defined by what I wear. I’m reading because I’m interested in what others think and, more importantly, have published about ‘us’. I expect I’ll find opinions that I disagree with and I want to address them to get to a more tuned way of stating my own ideas.

I’m jealous that I did not get to see the double rainbow. Although I did get a few good shots of what I did see from my front yard. And from snippets you’ve shared during our conversations, I may be more goth than I thought! Even though I don’t necessarily dress ‘that way.’ :p <3

I’m looking forward to learning more about Goth.
